Jon Canfield's Baseball Related Cigarette and Tobacco Packs – A Website Dedicate to Cigarette Boxes and Tobacco Packs That Once Contained Baseball Cards

Issued between 1909 and 1910, this set came in two different styles, white silks and colored silks. The set contains 92 white silks and 120 colored silks. They were packaged inside boxes of Turkey Red, Old Mill, Helmar and Red Sun cigarettes.

Of the brands used to distribute this set, Helmar is, without question, the easiest to obtain. Old Mill and Turkey Red are fairly equal in terms of rarity with boxes occasionally available for sale. Red Sun is nearly impossible to find and I have yet to be able to document an example from the 1910 era. The Red Sun cigarette pack pictured above was actually a remake issued in the 1980’s. The graphics are the same from an original Red Sun cigarette box.
